Domain verification fails

Verification fails when the expected TXT value or HTTPS file body is missing, mismatched, or not yet visible to the checker.

• Scans say the target is not under a verified domain

1. Step 1 — Re-open instructions

   On Add domain, click Show instructions and compare the record name/value or file URL/token exactly.

2. Step 2 — Fix DNS or HTTPS

   Remove stale TXT values. For HTTPS, ensure no redirect and a 200 response with the exact token body.

3. Step 3 — Wait and recheck

   DNS can take time to propagate. Click Check verification now again later.

• Success messages name the method: DNS TXT or HTTPS file.

• Scans still say the hostname is not verified.

  Verify the parent domain on Domain, then use a Target URL under that hostname.
